The Israeli Model
The dramatic shift to an innovative and entrepreneurial high-tech orientation that the Israeli economy has undergone in recent decades has been acknowledged globally. Research, innovation & entrepreneurship have come to be regarded as integral parts of the Israeli economic mindset and the many successful M&As of Israeli Start-Up companies have turned our small country into a world leader in certain high-tech areas.
The role of sound methodologies of innovation and entrepreneurship is to transform good ideas into actual products and services that will create value for the company and the society as a whole.
The essence of the relationship offered aims to establish a partnership in order to achieve mutual goals: training and developing of senior executives.
The program will introduce state of the art knowledge and best practices, dealing with the Israeli innovation and entrepreneurship eco-system. The program will introduce topics such as corporate venturing and "Intrapreneurship", strategic innovation, organizational cultural supporting innovation, global expansion and other disciplines critical to the success and growth of businesses and markets, and leadership in a global business environment.
We offer this unique cooperation initiative for mutual learning and growth, bringing together international and Israeli business leaders, individuals who have a great influence on their respective communities.
We invite senior executives to enrich, educate and enjoy themselves in one of the most vital and dynamic countries, working with the leading institution of higher education in the region.
The program will be tailored for up to 35 senior executives.
The program, designed and tailored for a delegation of senior executives, will present the cardinal aspects of intrapreneurship, innovation and global expansion according to Israeli models. The program will expose the best practices Israeli companies and academia have developed within the context of the country's booming innovation based economy and the emerging of global Israeli companies.
The program will offer a unique synthesis between state of the art academic studies and practical, hands-on experiences with relevant Israeli industries and business leaders. The program will be designed and adapted to put emphasis on certain specific markets and areas of interest according to the actual attributes of the group:
• High-tech and innovation: software, hardware, communication services, internet, IT and other technological arenas
• Defense and military technological market
• Healthcare, bio-tech and pharmaceuticals
• Clean-tech and sustainability (water, renewable energy, etc.)
In addition, the program will advance the relations and networking between the participants and Israeli business leaders and prominent serial entrepreneurs.
The program will be 7-10 days long, during which participants will undergo class studies, workshops, company visits and cultural excursions.
Fridays and Saturdays are weekend days in Israel, therefore these days will be dedicated to culture exploration and visits.
Days of activity normally begin at 08:30 (hotel pick-up), studies and company visits normally end at 17:00 and dinner would be scheduled for around 18:00.
Program participants will receive a certificate on behalf of Lahav Executive Education, Coller School of Management, Tel-Aviv University. The certificate may also bear the official logo of the organizer. An example of a certificate:
TAU will provide the delegation with a full suite of services, guarantying the success of the program and most effective utilization of participants' time spent in Israel.
During the program the delegations will enjoy full-board service and dining according to the schedule specified above. TAU will provide all lunches and dinners during the program (breakfast is provided at the hotel).
One of the dinners will host Israeli business leaders, serial entrepreneurs and VC partners to dine and get to know the program's participants. This will enable informal, unmediated networking opportunities.
Escort during the visit
TAU will provide the group with escorts during all official program hours. TAU will provide a two person escort:
A. Coordination liaison from TAU; responsible for all training program activities and communication with local lecturers, executives and other suppliers
B. Professional translator.
The sessions delivered within the program will be conducted in English. TAU will provide translation services for training program activities during the program, if this service will be necessary.
For lectures conducted at Tel-Aviv University, simultaneous translation will be provided; for all other activities outside the university (company visits, group meetings, tours, meals and so forth) consecutive translation will be provided.
