To succeed in today’s business world, managers have to demonstrate leadership capabilities. Managers who make sure to develop their inherent leadership capabilities show higher levels of business performance than their colleagues who restrict themselves to concentrating only on ongoing management.

This special program of studies is designed to allow you, as a senior manager, to learn about the latest theories on leadership from the leading scholars and consultants in the area. You will also learn about the practical tools that have been developed on the basis of these theories – tools that are intended to help you develop your leadership skills. The meetings will include experiential workshops, case studies, simulations, and personal experimentation, as well as guidance in developing an awareness of your personal leadership style, improving it and teaching colleagues.

Senior managers interested in examining and improving their leadership capabilities and in acquiring practical and effective leadership skills.

Objectives of the Program:
▪ To develop an awareness of personal leadership style and the power of the leadership dimension in promoting personal growth.
▪ To expose participants to the latest theories on leadership.
▪ To endow participants with the expertise to improve interpersonal communication, to develop their social networks, to meet and set intellectual challenges, to manage interactions and conflicts, to develop teams and to manage change.

▪ Theories on personal and business leadership: the full range of leadershipmodel, leader-follower relations ▪ Power and influence techniques ▪ Creating and instituting an organizational vision, consolidating a personal vision ▪ Developing and managing a team – the leadership challenge: barriers and drivers in team work, developing team work and the characteristics of effective team work ▪ Constructing social networks within the organization and outside it:  understanding social processes in teams and the involvement of the leader in these processes, identifying and operating sources of power in organizations, developing social networks and social capital ▪ Intellectual challenging – from learning by the manager to learning by the organization:  why learning is important for the leader and for the employee and how it constitutes an advantage for the organization ▪ Contending with intra- and inter-organizational conflicts: perceptions of an organizational culture that empowers interfaces and cooperation, and the meansto create such a culture ▪ Opposition to leadership and contending with organizational change: principles of managing change, the difficulties of managing change and contending with them ▪ Personal relations and effective communication: diagnosing styles of communication, the level of their effectiveness and appropriateness to changing situations.
